How do I purchase a PING PLD Custom Putter?
To purchase a PING PLD Custom putter, you must first schedule an in-person fitting with one of our PING Master Fitters. To book an exclusive PING PLD custom putter fitting, please schedule a time most convenient to you. Once fit, your master fitter will assist you through the customisation and purchase process.
Where is my in-person fitting?
All custom PLD fittings will take place in person at the PING Research Centre located at Loughborough University. Specific directions will be given to you once your booking has been made and there will be free on-site parking.
How does pricing work for PING PLD Custom models?
The price of a PLD Custom putter is £1800 (or equivalent currency value set by Ping Europe Limited), plus a £200 deposit for the custom fitting. This includes a custom fitting, choice of putter model, material, head weight, finish, face milling, alignment aid(s), shaft, grip, engraving and paint fill. The £200, non-refundable payment is required to schedule and participate in a PLD Custom Putter Experience. This payment is applied to the fitting experience at time of payment. The remaining £1800 (or equivalent currency value set by Ping Europe Limited) would be payable to complete your order. Any additional Custom putters would cost £1800 (or equivalent currency value set by Ping Europe Limited). Custom feature requests beyond what is stated above may be subject to additional cost. All sales for PLD Custom putters are final and cannot be returned once purchased.
Can you purchase more than one putter?
Yes, multiple Custom PLD putters can be purchased based on availability. The cost of additional Custom PLD putters will be £1800 (or equivalent currency value set by Ping Europe Limited).
Do I have to be custom-fit to purchase a PING PLD Custom putter?
Yes, an in-person fitting at the PING Research Centre located at Loughborough University, UK, is required to purchase a PING PLD Custom putter. To book an exclusive PING PLD custom putter fitting, please schedule a time most convenient to you.
Can more than one person get fit for a Custom PLD putter?
A booking appointment is for one person based on the time required for the fitting experience. Separate fitting appointments would be needed if more than one person wishes to be custom-fit. You can bring friends and family to see your fitting.
Can anyone get custom fit for PLD?
Yes, anyone can be custom fit. There is disability access on site and adaptive fittings are possible for Custom PLD. There is no age restriction for custom PLD.
Do I need to bring anything on the day of my fitting?
There is nothing you will need with you on the day, your PING Master Fitter will take you through everything. You can bring your current putter if you wish.
Is there an obligation to buy?
There is no obligation to buy your custom PLD putter either on the day or afterwards. However, we cannot guarantee your custom options will always be available if you decide to purchase afterwards. The £200 deposit is not refundable, even if you do not buy a custom PLD putter.
Can an authorised PING retailer fit me for a PING PLD Custom putter?
No, an in-person fitting with a PLD Master Fitter is required to purchase a PING PLD Custom putter.
Which payment methods does PING accept?
We accept all VISA, MasterCard PayPal and Apple Pay to book your fitting appointment. To complete your PING PLD Custom order, card payment would be required.
How long will my custom PLD take to arrive?
The lead time for delivery is 6 weeks after your order and payment is received by us. Your custom PLD will be shipped to an address of your choosing and will arrive in a PLD box and certificate of authentication.
How can I check on my PING PLD Custom putter order, once placed?
Your PING Master Fitter will be in contact with you throughout the process.
